Tunnel Memories

These are my favorite memories from when I used to go to "The Tunnel" nightclub in NYC in my 20s.

1. Getting out of the taxi with Laraine, I have on my black fur and black hat. Mob of people waiting to get in. As soon as we stepped out of the taxi, the bouncer pointed at us and waved us to come right in. That felt GOOD. I felt like a movie star!

2. The Queens dancing on the stage in the 70s room

3. the 5am surprise concert by Grace Jones in the main room

4. Getting into the elite Madonna room and meeting the most gorgeous guy who was Israeli but a blonde hip Israeli....but also extremely GAY.

6. Leaving at 7am

7. The insanely crazy co-ed bathroom that was a room unto itself-- it was HUGE

8. LOVED the fact that there was a restaurant/lounge within the club!!

How dare you call on halloween!

A telemarketer had the GALL to call my home phone on Halloween for gods sake. I usually just ignore these calls and then they get a loud fax noise in thier ear since we have caller ID. But this time since it was HALLOWEEN I answered and then proceeded to play my demented electric pumpkin that says "Happy halloween...HA HA HA HA HA!!!!" in thier ear!! It was great!
