T.O. and McNabb...

...what they teach us:

Sometimes you have to deal with someone that you just can't stand. Thats just life. You have to just deal with that fact and get on with it.

Everyone has people that they have to interact with who they don't like. I feel better knowing even big time football stars have to deal with the same BS as anyone else.

Next time I have to interact with say the school principal, lady from the IRS, or troop leader who I don't like-- I will just keep my big mouth shut, NOT tell them off (even though I want to!), and think of T.O. and McNabb. :::big grin:::

DVD Menus

I wonder if someone has a job where all they do is create DVD menus.

We always enjoy the DVD menus, sometimes more then the actual movie. the way they do them is so creative. Maybe its the creative artist in me that appreciates it.

We saw "oceans 12" last night. Shayna and I were really enjoying the DVD menu music. We were dancing to it in the kitchen. The movie itself was good--but the DVD menu's music kicked A**!! It reminded me of the music from "A Life Aquatic" - another quirky soundtrack.

Always have a Plan B....

...and even a Plan C.

We just watched a really good movie: FRIDAY NIGHT LIGHTS.

One of the characters learned the hard way that you always need a Plan B...ie don't put all your eggs in one basket.

That is one thing I am always trying to live by.

Sometimes Plan B can turn out to be even better then Plan A.

One of those days you can laugh about later

Last Wednesday, August 3rd, exactly one week ago, Manny and I were haivng one of those very busy chaotic dismal days. We had recieved some bad news about something we were hoping would work out (ie PLAN A) but alas had to go to our 2nd choice (PLAN B). Since PLAN B was not our original plan- and it entailed a completely different and greater mass of work to do - we were scurrying around trying to get it all done - or just get the work started.

Well, just as we were in the midst of all this busy chaotic scurrying...the power went out. It was around 3pm. At first we did the obvious like chekc the breakers and then called PECO and found it was 250 home outage. Manny was so distressed he was pacing the kitchen- all the adrenaline from before and frustration of the day had piled up.

Anyway..I had to leave to run some work errands and Manny took the kids into the pool because there was no AC or lights.

So this week we were looking back and laughing at the whole situation.

and hopefully PLAN B will ultimately work out so we won't ever need to go to a PLAN C.
